Since the Persa Gel expired after having it for about two years, it was time to get a new one and I wanted to try something new. I purchased the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment (about $7.99 at Ulta), it contains salicylic acid which is also good for acne medication.
It claims that this treatment contains breakthrough technology that actually dissolves oil and allows the maximum strength acne medicine to penetrate into your pores. This formula works fast to reduce the visible signs of acne.
I applied it for the first time last night right after taking off my makeup, washing my face, and applying toner, it dried out my pimple really well and I saw quick results after 1 application. I probably just need to apply it one more time for it to be completely gone. I didn't get any skin irritation or over drying of my skin. Overall, I would say this lives up to the claim and it's a must in my skin care even though I barely have a breakout. It's also really affordable and most importantly it does the job quickly! Especially if you are going to an important event/meeting or any picture taking. It is so compact that I could put it in my purse or in my travel bag and it is TSA approved because it's less than 1 fl. oz.
