All the vendors: http://lasvegasfoodiefest.com/?page_id=199
People were going crazy for the White Castle truck because we don't have it here in Vegas. I wanted to try out Buttermilk, Fuku Burger, Bacon Mania, and White Rabbit but we were too full.
POTATO CORNER: Originally from the Philippines. Basically flavored french fries like sour cream, cheese, bbq, chili bbq, cinnamon & sugar, and garlic & parmesan. Small (Jumbo), Medium (Mega), Large (Giga). They also have sweet potato fries, loopy fries, tater tots, jojo chips,  baked potato and chicken strips. [ http://potatocornerusa.com/]

Wa da pho: Asian Fusion- from Vegas [www.wadapho.com]
Some of the food on the menu.

This was a pho-licious Q taco: Beef brisket with cilantro, onions, tomatoes, and some special sauce; bit spicy but it was bearable for a person who doesn't really like spicy food. Delicious!
Dragon Grille: from Vegas [www.dragongrille.com]

1. Pick small/large 2. choice of meat 3. choose a sauce  4. Steamed rice, sesame seeds, and cilantro included
We ordered a beef brisket with korean galbi q sauce. It was full of flavor but it wasn't too overwhelming, loved it!

Fluff Ice: from California [http://www.fluffice.com/#/ABOUT-US-02-03/]
Pick a "fluff" flavor and pick what goes on it
"fluff"- basically ice cream but shredded, so it's really lightweight, fluffy texture.
I got a Coffee fluff with oreos and mochi.
It was okay I prefer Kuma Snow Cream [http://www.kumasnowcream.com/]- in Vegas located at Valley View and Spring Mtn.

7 things to know about shopping

  1. Have a list of things that you need/want to buy, and have a budget! Have your priorities, can wait, and buy later. You will feel better having self-control even if you have lots of money to spend and most of the time you will not regret spending less money! Having self-control is one way to discipline yourself and your wallet.
  2. If you're in doubt..most likely your purchase will be an okay purchase which tends to be the items that you don't really reach for because you don't love it. If it's a really expensive item I would just wait it out and think about it. You should find yourself asking Do I need this? Do I need to buy it right now? Is it worth it? Do I really like it? Would I be using this a lot? etc.
  3. Beware of sales racks and discounts! Most of the ads really lure people to buy things because of the "money that you save". Don't get me wrong, I love sales! But sometimes we tend to go crazy for the things we don't need because it's really cheap! Sales are ALWAYS there all year round but if you really want something, go with your intuition! Well think about this, Would you buy it even though it was full price?
  4. Try it on! Try the clothes/shoes/ accessories too! Some you think looks good on the rack might not look as good on you because of the fitting or the size or you just don't like how it looks like on you. Different stores have different sizing and fit. You think it will fit okay but sometimes we go back to the store and try to exchange it for another size, which is a hassle and a waste of time.
  5. Bring a friend with you and have fun! If you aren't sure of something, your friends are there to knock some sense and talk you into buying things or not. Be practical and be a smart shopper!
  6. Know the store policy! You just need to know if you can return/exchange an item, and within how many days, and if they do store credit/ money back. I've seen a lot of individuals complain that they can't get their money back because of the store policy. It's not the company's fault, it's yours for not asking/knowing.
  7. Keep your receipts! Just in case you want to return/exchange it. It is really important because I know some stores don't give you money back if you don't have your receipt, just a store credit and such. But to keep away from those kind of dilemmas simply put your receipts in an organized file holder with different tabs on it. Different categories: stores, credit cards you used, date of purchase, etc.
Goodluck!

How to shop smart: Drugstore Makeup

How I shop for makeup

Ulta: I buy most of my drugstore makeup here because I always save more money than anywhere else. I would recommend signing up for their Club at Ulta Membership because they would send you a monthly ad for their store so you can see which ones are BOGO etc. You earn points as you go and you can get free products when you're redeeming (similar deal with Sephora). They would also give you a coupon of either 20% off your entire purchase or get $3.50 off if you spend $10.00 before tax (they give this coupon more often). I believe the 20% off your entire purchase includes Prestige brands (higher end products) and the $3.50 off is only on drugstore items. I know this because I asked a few times which ones were included and not included with a certain coupon. I would just call the store first to verify that it is the same rule from where you're from.

If for example Maybelline was buy 1 get 1 50% off and you got 2 items, $11.99 and $6.99
They would take the lower price to be the "half off" so it's $11.99+ $3.50= $15.50 plus tax AND minus the $3.50 off your purchase it will just be $12 for both of the items!

It is also a great deal to get 20%off your entire purchase including high end makeup, whereas if you go to Sephora you don't get any amount off the items.

They sometimes have the "21 days of Beauty" in their monthly ads mostly every couple of months. They have really great deals for high end makeup like the Urban Decay Primer Potion is like $9, full size Tarte Maracuja Oil for only $25! Which is originally around $50! They just basically have different deals for everyday of that 25 days.

Walgreens- My second choice would be Walgreens because they have a ton of products that are always on sale. I also recommend having the Balance Rewards membership because you can also earn points and every 5,000 points you get $5 off your next purchase (just let them know that you want to use your rewards). They do not give the $5 to you, they just deduct it from your total when you do want to use your reward points. It has no expiration date. I always see more BOGO at Walgreens than at CVS when I check the weekly ads online. I always pay at the Cosmetics Register because the beauty advisor will give or look for a coupon for the makeup items that you are buying IF they have some coupons for that brand ( I would just ask nicely if they have a coupon for my items, just in case they forgot to look or confirm that they don't have any, so you don't walk out missing out on saving money on the items you bought). Whenever I'm at the store I always look for orange stickers which indicates markdown items.

Sometimes at Walgreens they have a "Saturdate" event at the Beauty section where they get some coupons starting on that saturday.

CVS- I sometimes go to CVS to look at BOGOs for Milani products because they don't have it at either Ulta or Walgreens. But they have the Extra Care Rewards, it is also free rewards card, you can earn points. When you use your card with your purchase in some of the makeup items they have the "extra bucks" Which is similar to Walgreens.

It's like if Revlon products were part of the extra bucks on their Buy 1 get 1 50% off and you buy it, you get a certain amount deducted to your next purchase (it just depends on how much they say on the ad, some of the items don't have the extrabucks). So you spend the money, but you get some bucks off your next purchase. But I'm not really sure if it has an expiration date and I'm not sure if it's on the next purchase or if you could use the extra bucks on your current purchase.

Walmart- Don't get me wrong, I love Walmart because it's cheap but they don't have any rewards program, no BOGO, maybe some markdowns on makeup, but the good thing is you will find the products cheaper at Walmart, if you buy it individually comparing to buying an item at Ulta individually. You can get some coupons as well from the newspaper, print from online, magazines, or maybe on your mobile app. But if I wanted to get more items cheaper than getting 1 individual item I would definately go to Ulta or Walgreens first. If you're the type of person that just buy 1 item at a time I would just go at Walmart.

All of these stores allow returns if it doesn't work out for you, just bring your receipt along with you for an easier process.

Goodluck!
